Part-Time (Full Time Summer) | Young Judaea Sprout Camps

Young Judaea Sprout Camps is seeking an organized, detail-oriented professional to support the financial and business operations of our camp organization. We are looking for someone who is dependable, flexible, and willing to jump in when needed. Camp is a dynamic environment, so while the position has clear ongoing responsibilities, there will also be opportunities to help solve problems and improve the way we operate.

Primary Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Financial Operations

· Maintain accurate day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks

· Record and reconcile deposits, payments, and credit card activity

· Complete monthly bank and account reconciliations

· Reconcile camp registration income and payments between Campfront and QuickBooks

· Upload bills into Bill.com

· Assist with 1099 preparation and other year-end financial needs

· Support the monthly financial close

· Prepare monthly financial reports and budget-to-actual reports

· Assist staff with annual budget preparation

· Work with the Executive Director and outside accounting professionals as needed

· Prepare documentation and schedules for the annual audit and tax filings

Qualifications

· Experience in non-profit bookkeeping (preferred), accounting, finance, business operations, or a related field

· Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

· Ability to work independently and manage deadlines

· Comfortable learning new systems, including Campfront, our camp registration and management system and Bill.com

Schedule & Summer Role

This is a part-time remote position (15-20 hours weekly) from September through June. From June through August this position is full-time, with a minimum of three days a week at our camp in Verbank, NY in the Hudson Valley. Residing at camp and tuition barter opportunities are available.

Salary: $30-$35 an hour
