Financial Assistance

CYJ Sprout Lake is a non-profit organization committed to helping every Jewish child experience camp. We believe that no child should miss out on the power of Jewish Camp because of ability to pay. Thanks to many generous donors, CYJ Sprout Lake offers tuition assistance to camp families who qualify.

Financial Assistance will open for families in early 2021. Please contact the office if you have any questions.

Additional Fees

For campers entering 8th grade who attend 2nd session, an additional fee is added into the tuition for an overnight trip out of camp. In the past, these trips have included extravaganzas to Washington, D.C., Hershey Park, & more.

Horseback riding is available to campers of all ages. Our program includes beginner and advanced lessons. Because of limited availability, this program is open to campers on a first-come, first-served basis.

Credit Card Policy

As you are aware, Camp Young Judaea Sprout Lake is a non-profit organization. We strive each season to provide an excellent camp program with the highest standards. The tuition at Sprout Lake increases slightly due to operative costs and yearly improvements and upgrades to our program. One of the highest costs we incur is credit card processing.

In order to be able to continue to develop our excellent programming and maintain our campus, we are forced, like many other non-profits and academic institutions, to update our payment policy. Families that choose to pay by credit card will incur a 3.50%  credit card on transactions.

If you would like to avoid this charge, you can choose eCheck or cash as your payment method.  Our new payment method, eCheck, will allow tuition to be deducted directly from either your checking or savings account.

Annual Campaign

Tuition, programming, and facility upgrades at CYJ Sprout Lake are underwritten by generous donations from our camp community. In order to continue offering innovative new programs and expanded facilities – and to meet the increased financial needs of many in our camp community – The board of CYJ Sprout Lake engages in an Annual Campaign. Please support these efforts to bring as many Jewish children to CYJ Sprout Lake as possible each year and to upgrade and enhance the campgrounds for all children to enjoy! We welcome your annual campaign commitment at registration each summer and throughout the year. A hearty Todah Rabah to all who can offer support for CYJ Sprout Lake.

Camp Young Judaea Sprout Lake, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Your donation may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law

Refund Policy

A full refund of the deposit, less a $100 processing fee for one session campers or a $200 processing fee for two-session campers, is available for cancellations received by May 1, 2021. All deposits will be forfeited after May 1, 2021. 75% of tuition will be refunded for cancellations after May 1, 2020.

For campers registered for first session, there will be absolutely no refunds for cancellations after June 15, 2021. For campers registered for second session, there will be absolutely no refunds for cancellations after July 15, 2021. Accordingly, there will be no refunds once the session has begun. If your child must arrive late to camp for any reason, we cannot offer a discount or a pro-rated tuition price.

Camp Young Judaea Sprout Lake is a non-profit organization with fixed costs for staff, food, and program. The price of tuition covers the actual costs of running the camp; food, programming, office and staff expenses, in addition to maintenance costs, utilities, insurance, and, taxes comprise a good portion of our annual budget.

We therefore cannot issue refunds for incomplete sessions. Once a session has begun or after the dates stated above, no refund will be given under any circumstances.
