Tuition Assistance

Camp Young Judaea Sprout Lake Tuition Assistance Fund

As is true with most things of value, Jewish summer camp is an expensive commitment. If you are interested in sending your child to Camp, and understand the value of the Jewish overnight camp experience, but are in need of financial assistance, we are here to help.

Camp Young Judaea Sprout Lake is committed to working with our families to ensure that no child is turned away due to financial difficulties. If you are in need of scholarship for camp, follow the steps listed below to help make this process a smooth and easy one. Following this process will also ensure that you will be able to receive the maximum amount of dollars available.

The financial aid application for 2024 will open in December 2023

Financial Aid Application

Step #1

Register your child for Camp. We are unable to consider your application for scholarship until we have ensured that there is space for your child in the appropriate section and session. Don’t wait, Register Now!!

Step #2

Determine what your family can afford to pay for Camp. Many applications for scholarship ask that you indicate a certain dollar amount; therefore, you need to figure out what you can contribute and how much assistance you will need.

Step #3

Gather your most recent tax forms. Most organizations, including CYJ Sprout Lake, will require up to date tax information for their scholarship forms.

Step #4

Apply to CYJ’s funding partners: your local congregation, Jewish Federation and other local organizations.

After you have done all of the above, you will have the opportunity to apply for scholarship from the Camp Young Judaea Scholarship Fund. The CYJ Scholarship committee provides the last piece of the puzzle for scholarship money. Our committee takes into account your scholarship application along with the money which has been awarded to you from various other organizations (such as the ones listed above) in order to help make it possible for your child/ren to attend Camp in the summer. The scholarship committee begins their meetings in the Spring after other organizations have made their decisions on how to award their scholarship funds. The Young Judaea scholarship application is completely online and no paper applications are accepted.
